Another successful fundraising dinner🎉
We are thrilled to share with you the incredible success of the Go for Gold Annual Industry Fundraising Dinner, which took place on the 7th of September 2023, at the enchanting D’Aria Wine Estate in Durbanville. This evening was truly a remarkable celebration of our mission and the incredible individuals who make it possible.
An Unforgettable Evening
The event saw the gathering of 157 esteemed guests who came together to show their unwavering support for the Go for Gold programme. The ambiance at the D’Aria Wine Estate was nothing short of spectacular, setting the stage for a night to remember.
Our charismatic Master of Ceremonies, Mr. Jethro Dylan Thomas, skillfully guided us through the evening’s programme, keeping our guests enthralled with his captivating presence. Laughter and joy filled the air as we were treated to the comedic talents of Mr. Kagiso Mokgadi (KG), adding a delightful touch to the evening.
Inspiring Voices and Stories
The highlight of the evening, however, was the inspiring voices and stories that echoed through the venue. Our esteemed speakers, including Go for Gold Alumna Ms. Ziona Slamat, guest speaker Dmitri Murray, and the esteemed member of Go for Gold’s board, Mr. Vuyo Qubu, shared their experiences and insights. Their words not only highlighted the positive impact of our program on the industry but also inspired all those in attendance.

A Remarkable Contribution
Thanks to the collective efforts of our incredible sponsors, the Go for Gold Annual Industry Fundraising Dinner raised an astounding total of R544,322. This substantial contribution will enable us to sponsor the most deserving students in our program as we continue to recruit a hundred new Grade 10, 11, or 12 students each year, both male and female, onto our education-to-employment pathway.
