Great news! 2024 Bachelor Passes

We are thrilled to share that 2024 has been an incredible year for Go for Gold, marked by outstanding academic achievements and continued growth in our Education Development Programme (EDP).

The highlight of this year’s success is our exceptional 94% Bachelor Pass rate among our Grade 12 students—a significant increase from 83% in 2023! This remarkable improvement underscores the dedication of our students, the effectiveness of our academic support, and the commitment of our educators and stakeholders.

A special congratulations to our top-performing students:

• Musawenkozi Buthelezi from Zimisele High School in Johannesburg, who achieved an incredible 100% in Mathematics and 97% in Science!

• Sisa Sopazi from Cape Town, who attained an impressive 92% in Mathematics and 87% in Science!

These results reflect the hard work of our students, tutors, and the continued investment of our partners in equipping young minds with the skills and knowledge to pursue STEM careers.

A Year of Growth and Development

Throughout 2024, our Education Development Programme provided weekly Mathematics and Science tuition to 129 Grade 11 and 12 students across Cape Town and Johannesburg. The programme ran successfully, culminating in intensive exam preparation sessions that contributed to our students’ outstanding final results.

In addition to academic support, students participated in Leadership Development training, gaining valuable life skills to build confidence, resilience, and accountability. With a 90% attendance rate, our students showed tremendous dedication and commitment to both personal and academic growth.

Looking Ahead to 2025

We are excited to welcome our new cohort of students and continue empowering young leaders through education and workplace readiness. With recruitment for 2025 well underway, we anticipate another group of bright and determined students eager to excel in STEM fields.
